Dear Ms. Hamlin:

 

Gap Inc. has dedicated the past year engaging the U.S. population in the idea that everyone can help change the world, and in fact millions have since participated in their effort to do so.

 

A year ago Gap Inc. launched their (product) RED line which donates half of the sales of each RED product to the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria in Africa. Since this launch, (RED) has contributed $45 million to the Global Fund.

 

This month, Gap introduced the (2 WEEKS) T-shirt, a limited edition t-shirt featuring a compelling message about the direct impact the purchase of the shirt will have on the Global Fund.

 

This Friday, October 12, 2007 celebrity endorsers including John Legend, Anne Hathaway and Wyclef Jean will gather at the San Francisco Gap location to help launch this shirt. The three endorsers will sign RED products purchased that day from 5-7 p.m.

 

After the launch select press will have the opportunity to ask the three endorsers questions as well as take pictures of the three wearing the RED products.
